An interesting Friday!
每個人心中都有一封寄不出的情書,不管是寄到天涯,還是...
《海角七號》
The above sentence is the catch line for the movie, "Cape No. 7".
Translation:-
There's an undeliverable love letter in everyone's heart,
be it the far end horizon or..
Cape No. 7
Ever since I get to know that Shino took up a role in this movie, I'd been wanting to watch.
Afraid that it might stop screening anytime soon since it's not really a block blaster, I treated Xiong to watch with me with my free Shaw vouchers.
And the only place showing it on a Fri night is Balestier Complex. =P
We saw the 93.3 DJ, Chong Qing(重庆) as we got out of the theatre.
He was there with a group of friends waiting to enter the theatre.
Oh man! He really has a loud laughter & it's as contagious as mine. wahaha *lol*
Okay, put that aside.
Coming back to the movie.
If you were to ask me, I would say this is really a very nice show.
This time, it's not because 1 of my idols was in it.
Though I got super high whenever she appears!
FYI, the Japanese she spoke in the show was not by any interpreter.
Coz Shino once worked in Japan for a period of time when she was young.
And there, she learned to speak Jap.
Super cool when she was having this dialogue with the real Jap girl in the show.
There are no fast actions, great kungfu skills, powerful sound effects or whatever you name it.
BUT you can feel the most wonderful thing on earth, "LOVE".
Cape No. 7 is just a simple love story, realistic as it can be, thereby reflecting the way humans really are & how we feel.
There would be times where we escaped from alot of things simply because we lack the courage to face up to reality & fight for our own rights.
You might just live your whole life wishing you have done it differently, yet never find the courage to do it right even till your very last day on earth.
Words cannot do any justice to how this simple movie touched my heart.
Watch it for yourself. =)
P/S: However, if you are someone who don't really understand Singapore Hokkien, you might have even greater difficulty in understanding the Taiwanese Hokkien(Hoklo Taiwanese).
Even so, fret not, you can still understand the whole story pretty well. Only thing is when the whole theatre laughs, you might not catch the joke. =P
There are sub-titles in both Eng & Chi.
I'm pretty impressed that the sub-titles in English is so much better than our local shows.
It was already 11.45pm when we finished watching the show.
2 hyperactive bikers decided to roam to nowhere.
We almost combed the whole east side of Singapore.
Changi Airport T3
Coz Xiong said he has never been there b4, so we dropped by.
Then we past by Geylang.
Whoever said that Singapore night life is dull?
Perhaps we have all been hanging out at the wrong places?
When we were there last night, the whole place was so happening.
Full of life & all colors.
But the traffic was a killer & there's erm...
Whoever kind of ppl famous for that place was roaming the streets...
We went past Mohammad Sultan too.
Yup, it's a pub area.
So nevertheless to say, it was equally happening.
We even met 2 taxi drivers who were hogging the roads as they quarrelled in their taxis!
Damn! Luckily, we were on bikes.
The whole stretch of other taxis behind them were honking like nobody biz.
Then there was Alexandra Road, Havelock Road, River Valley Road, Lower Delta Road, etc.
And we travelled on PIE, CTE, AYE, SLE, TPE, I think we only missed KJE & KPE.
Xiong & I definitely gain great insight from last night biking session.
The feeling of riding on your bike, travelling aimlessly with your bro & seeing the place you live in from another view is GREAT!
You gota experience it to know how it really feels like! (^_^)
