Stories part 26 - 30
Part 26 - "You are awake, my dear boy. Look how skinny you are, it must have been afew days you went without food. Come, I'd prepared dinner for you." Navi jumped out of bed in a spilt second and was at the dinning table gobbling down his food. He was too hungry to think of anything.
Part 27 - "Slow down, boy. Or u might just get chocked. Oh, what's your name?" In between mouthfuls of food, Navi said, "Navi." "Navi, that's a nice name. Where are your parents, why are you alone?" Navi stopped eating and look up at the person sitting opposite him for the first time. She was a kind looking middle age lady with the kind of motherly look Navi imagined his own mum to be.
Part 28 - Navi couldn't control his emotions. He had always wondered why did his parents left him at the orphanage. He burst into tears, "My parents left me when I was young. I don't even know how they looked like. I ran out of Be Loved Home just afew weeks ago." Navi's tears keep flowing. "Hush, my dear." The lady hugged him tight letting him cry in her arms.
Part 29 - The lady's name is Rene. From that day on, Rene took Navi in and treated him as her own son. Actually Rene was married and her husband was a sailor. 3 years back, he set out to sea for America and never came back after that. They were only married for 6 months. Ever since then, she had been living alone in their small hut hoping that her husband would be back 1 day.
Part 30 - Years went by, Navi grow up to be a fine young lad. He love his home by the sea. For years, other than going school, he would spend his time in the sea swimming or play with his pet dog, 'Ham' on the seashore. 'Ham' is a stray dog Navi found 4 years ago. It was knocked down by a car right infront of Navi's eyes. Feeling sorry for it, Navi took it home and attend to his wound. At first, Rene refused to let Navi keep 'Ham'. But after much persuasion, Rene decided to let Ham be Navi's companion.
