No matter what you are doing now, stop for awhile & look up at the sky. The sky may be filled with brightly lit stars, dark clouds, drizzling rain or even beautified by a rainbow. 11th Feb 2010! Had a simple reunion dinner at JP LJS with my dearest daughters. =) With this bunch of gers ard, fun & laughter were never lacking. As usual, we went back to Gpa's hse for CNY celebration!! I'm always looking fwd to this day, it's 1 of the most impt occasion of my life e'yr. Growing up in a BIG family, I love the warmth of us doing every big or little things tgt. It's the companion that counts! Outside 5th aunt's hse with her own self made 桃花树. This yr, we forsake 情人桥 for a dock nearby. The dock was closed; so in the middle of the bridge, the floor was lifted up. We have to climb over from the outside of the bridge. Check out below pic for the "dangerous" acts & a scared face. =P Next, we went to a bean curd place; svc was lousy & over priced food suxs. But that was 1 of the few places which was still over at the wee hrs. Beggars can't be choosers. But it may also help to be happy, a new study says. Even if you're grumpy by nature, just try to be cheerful. Researchers at Columbia University rated the happiness levels of more than 1,700 adults in Canada with no heart problems in 1995. After a decade, they examined the 145 people who developed a heart problem and found happier people were less likely to have had one. The study was published online yesterday in the European Heart Journal . The paper's lead author, Dr Karina Davidson of Columbia University Medical Centre, said happy people were more likely to have a healthier lifestyle. It could also be there is an unknown genetic trait that predisposes people to be happy and have less heart disease. Grade A friend lend me a book & highly recommend that I shld read. =) For those who knows me well, I take the longest time to read a book, watch a show on VCD/DVD. (I still owe Sy her book titled, "He's not that into you." & Miao Chin her DVD on Buddha's teachings; but I did tell them I would take a SUPER LONG time to finish with it & return to them.) Are you ready to see the interior? Eagle Ivan welcomes you to our room!!! Simple & nice decor. =P The only downside was, the bathroom door can't be locked. I feel so INSECURE! =( Miao Chin make a temporary door latch for me. So nice of her! =D After checking out the next day. . . Off we go to Palawan Beach for a tiring challenging volleyball game & some suntanning! Overall, it was a FUN outing! =) Enjoyed myself with GREAT companions!!

Like what I've told afew persons ard me, this yr wld be a yr of changes for me. BIG changes & small changes. If u were to ask me, I wld say, these changes are positive to me in one way or another. So, wat are the changes expected? 1) I've quited 4D. (Simple reason, I've finally signed up a life insurance & I'm using my mthly 4D $$ to pay for this.) 2) Next, I quited mj. (My mj kakis are so gona be disappointed to hear this, I noe.) 3) I quited alcohol. (This sounds unbelievable & disappointing to some as well. But yah, it's true. For the sake of my own health plus to speed up the process of shedding that beer belly, I just hafta do it. I can still go Lunar & watch Qiqi but strictly no alcohol, pls. =P) 4) I'm "forcing"/motivating myself to exercise at least 3 times a wk. I definitely hope I keep to this resolution myself. Happy Birthday, Mummy!! Coz Uncle Ivan is a "bang dang" (supertitious) person, we're not allow to light candles or sing b'day song for Mummy this yr. Time flies, angelic Xu Wei Lun(天使许玮伦) has left planet Earth for 3 yrs. My post for her 3 yrs back when I first got news of her departure can be found here . For those who want to know more abt her, check out the website setup by her die hard fans. She lives forever in the hearts of her fans. =) On a lighter note, there're 2 concerts in Apr 2010 which I want SO MUCH to go!!! Love Mi World Tour!! Based on my own experience, I have expected her to be here this year. True enough, she'll be holding her "Love Mi World Tour" concert in Sg on 2nd Apr 2010!! I've been to her previous concerts and I can tell you, there's nowhere better than the stage she shld belong! v(^_^)o Would I be able to win her concert tixs like the previous years? Yesterday, early in the morning, I rec'd an email to inform me that my pre-ordered Shino's CD has been shipped out! Upon reaching home at 6pm+, I started pacing up & down my living room. At 8pm+, the DHL delivery man came! My hands trembled as I tore open the well-cushioned package. The CD flown from Taiwan, of coz must put more layers to protect my precious album. =) Holding this CD in my hands, mixed emotions were stirred up . Wasting no time, I turned on the TV & DVD player to watch the DVD. It was only a short one with Shino performing 2 songs, "总有一天" & "守着阳光守着你". However, that short video almost bring tears to my eyes. All these years, I followed news on Shino through updates on her blog. The downs she had, we as fans could almost feel the same misery/pain she was experiencing through the words she wrote. This was the most recent photo I took of her after changing her cage for the last time. Throughout the years, this little warrior has fallen ill quite a couple of times & afew times, it was quite bad. When she fell super ill for the 1st time, she was so weak that she couldn't eat or drink much. Even moving ard the cage was a chore for her. Miraculously, she survived & after that, she got even healthier than b4. Back then, her siblings who fell sick at the same time as her gave in to their illness in less than a wk. That's y I said she's a brave little warrior. Age has catches up with her, perhaps it's time for her to report somewhere else. After reading the famous novel, "Little Prince", I'd wanted to name all my future hamster as Little Prince as well. However, when I saw the fragile body in the cage last night, I changed my mind. Little Prince is unique, there should only be one Little Prince in my hammies' list. RIP, my little brave warrior!

This is the day! Sometime ago, I pre-order Shino's CD not knowing what to expect. Today, this album is officially released in Taiwan!! Most prob, I'll receive my copy in a wk time? v(^_^)o So excited over its arrival!! I doubt very few would bother to read the exact wordings that were extracted from the website promoting Shino's album. So in case, anyone is interested to know what's the whole chunk of TRADITIONAL Chinese words is all abt. I shall do a summary for u & for my own keepsake. =) In 2009, Golden Music Hits Awards, Shino said, "Pls give me a chance! I don't want to give up on music!" Thereafter, she wrote an article on her blog seeking for "bosses" to pre-order her album. The company promises to produce this album only if she reaches a certain number of pre-orders. Obviously, she reached the target. If not, we won't be witnessing the release of it TODAY! The 3 basic foundations this album is built on are; FAITH, HOPE & LOVE ...

On 11th Jan 2010, SDC went for our annual outing to Batam! Call me mountain tortoise, but this is my virgin trip to Batam!! =) Was so super duper excited abt it. =P While waiting to board the ferry, we cam whored! At every other places we went, we took photos! Even with the "No Pictures Please" tee, we were simply UNSTOPPABLE!! Smiling Buddha - my fave kind of God was worshipped widely on Batam Island! It's a known fact that Ivan has tons of diff grps of frenz. B'day celebrations for frenz start in Jan & it's non-stop throughout the year. In return, my b'day celebration usually takes a wk or so to be completed. Last yr - 2009, I return to sch & started taking nite classes. Back then, it was the longest stretch of b'day celebrations I had; a whole mth as I only have the wkends free for my frenz. I'm glad that they still bother to wait ard for their free days with me. =) So, this year, I've decided to return alittle sth for my dear frenz who have been celebrating my b'day with me for years or even those who just started celebrating my b'day with me last year. My b'day to me is an impt day. I survived the 50%-50% ops to live up to today, each day I thx Buddha for blessing me all these years.
